Tom Cruise Highest Rated Film Mission Impossible VII

As more and more early reviews are being received for the new action sequel Mission: Impossible – Dead Reckoning Part One, a new record has been set for Tom Cruise. Last year, Cruise had received great recognition with Top Gun: Maverick, as the sequel had flown high with its immense success and had received a lot of praise and huge profits at the box office. Officially, the sequel to Top Gun sits on Rotten Tomatoes with a score of 96%, just one point ahead of its highest-rated movie on the website – Mission: Impossible – Fallout, the previous installment of the Mission: Impossible franchise. This film, released in 2018, held the record as the highest-rated film for Cruise on Rotten Tomatoes, landing on the Tomatometer with 97% certified freshness.

To date, 139 reviews have been submitted by critics, approved by Rotten Tomatoes, and the overwhelming majority of them gave Dead Reckoning Part One a positive review. Based on the reviews added so far, it is close to a perfect score of 99% Certified Fresh. This figure could very well decrease to some extent if more negative reviews are received, but as of now the sequel is the most reviewed film in Cruise’s filmography. Maybe the hype is real when it comes to the expected release

As usual, Cruise and director Christopher McQuarrie go above and beyond with death-defying action sequences that make you wonder how the showmen can accomplish the impossible,” said critic Eric Marchen of Rogers TV about the film.

“As a physical performer, Cruise is one of the best working today,” adds Michael J. Casey of Boulder Weekly, praising Cruise’s efforts put into the film by both sides of the camera. “Since Cruise does a double job as a star and producer, he makes sure that the budget of $ 290 million ends up on the screen.”

Based on many other reviews, Jonathan Sim of ComingSoon.net also gives the film a huge hype by writing: “Dead Reckoning Part One is the best action movie of the year. No less you can expect from Cruise and McQuarrie, who…have created another high-flying, mind-blowing action movie with some of the best-shot sequences in the series.”

The critics are impressed by Mission: Impossible 7

Having strong reviews is obviously a wonderful thing, although Paramount executives also hope that the hype lends itself to a huge success at the box office. That seems to be the case so far, as Dead Reckoning Part One is expected to have the strongest opening weekend of all episodes of the series. Some estimates suggest that the film is in the region of $ 90 million. Whether it will have the staying power of Top Gun: Maverick last year remains to be seen, and it is worth noting that after the release of the new film, other big summer blockbuster releases will soon follow, such as the double release of Oppenheimer and Barbie on July 21st.

Mission: Impossible – Dead Reckoning Part One will be released in theaters on July 10, 2023. The sequel, Mission: Impossible – Dead Reckoning Part Two, is scheduled to hit the big screen next year on June 28, 2024.
